26 May 2023 – CITY OF TAGUM. The Provincial Statistics Committee (PSC) in Davao del Norte, as the highest policy-making body on statistical matters in the province, convened its 3rd Regular PSC Meeting for CY 2023, on 29 September 2023.

The headline inflation of Davao del Norte decreased by 4.0 percentage points in September 2023 (3.4%) compared to its inflation rate in the same month last year, which was recorded at 7.4 percent. The current inflation rate (3.4%) of the province is lower compared to the headline inflation of the Philippines and Davao Region, which stood at 6.1 percent and 5.4 percent, respectively.

The Philippine Statistics Authority, Provincial Statistical Office-Davao del Norte (PSA PSO- DavNor) conducted its Customer Satisfaction Survey (CSS) for the Third Quarter of 2023. This was conducted continuously from 11-15 September 2023 with 100 percent response rate from one hundred six (106) randomly selected clients of CRS Tagum City Outlet. The CSS is the fifth in its series, since the opening of the Outlet on 15 March 2022 and first since the adoption of use of the Civil Registry System – Information Technology Project (Phase II), or also known as CRS-ITP2.

The headline inflation of Davao del Norte decelerated by 5.3 percentage points in August 2023 (1.6%) from its inflation rate in the same month of last year (6.9%). Comparatively, the current inflation rate of the province (1.6%) is lower to the headline inflation of the Philippines (5.3%) and Davao Region (3.9%), by 3.7 percent and 2.3 percent, respectively.

The headline inflation of Davao del Norte decreased by 5.8 percentage points in July 2023 (1.3%) compared to its inflation rate in the same month last year, which was recorded at 7.1 percent. The current inflation rate (1.3%) of the province is lower compared to the headline inflation of the Philippines and Davao Region, which stood at 4.7 percent and 4.3 percent, respectively
