Livestock Inventory in Davao del Norte as of January 1, 2022 is reported at 201,305 heads. This denotes a 4.2 percent decline in inventory from the total heads of 210,033 in the year 2021 (Table 1). The inventory of four livestock in Table 1 showed that Goats and Carabao increased in January 2022 by 0.3 percent and 0.2 percent, respectively, compared from the number of heads on January 1, 2021. On the other hand, decline in inventories were shown in Swine by 6.3 percent, and Cattle by 6.2 percent.
The headline inflation in Davao del Norte increased by 1.3 percentage points in January 2023 (6.9%) compared to its inflation rate in the same month last year, which was recorded at 5.6 percent. The current inflation rate (6.9%) of the province is lower compared to the headline inflation of the Philippines and Davao Region, which stood at 8.7 percent and 9.4 percent, respectively.
In consonance with the celebration, the PSA Davao del Norte together with the Davao del Norte League of Civil Registrar commenced the 33rd Civil Registration Month through a motorcade in the morning of 01 February 2023.
1. Average Inflation Rate of Davao del Norte The average inflation rate of Davao del Norte for the year 2022 is valued at 5.9 percent – higher by 2.3 percentage points compared to the province’s average inflation rate of 3.6 percent in 2021 (Figure 1).
The headline inflation in Davao del Norte increased by 2.3 percentage points in December 2022 (6.6%) compared to its inflation rate in the same month last year, which was recorded at 4.3 percent. The current inflation rate (6.6%) of the province is lower compared to the headline inflation of the Philippines and Davao Region, which stood at 8.1 percent and 9.3 percent, respectively.
On category of satisfactions, “Strongly Agree” were shown with highest rating in most categories, which could be interpreted that majority of the customer-respondents were satisfied. Among these categories, ‘Comfortable’ garnered the highest percentage point at 99.1 percent.
29 December 2022 – CITY OF TAGUM. The Philippine Statistics Authority – Davao del Norte Provincial Statistical Office (PSA Davao del Norte PSO) conducted its 2022 Customer Satisfaction Survey (CSS): Quarter 4 (Q4) on service delivery at the Civil Registration Service (CRS) Outlet-Tagum City. From its “Go Live” on 15 March 2022, the CSS was piloted on Quarter 3 of 2022. The Q4 CSS is the second of the series of this year, which was conducted from 05-09 December 2022 to the One Hundred Six (106) randomly selected external clients of the CRS Outlet with a 100 percent response rate.
As measured by the Gross Provincial Domestic Product (GPDP), the economy of Davao del Norte was estimated at PhP 158.1 billion in 2021. This was the second biggest economy in Davao Region after the City of Davao. This marked a growth of 5.1 percent in 2021, a rebound from -4.5 percent decline in 2020.
The headline inflation in Davao del Norte increased by 2.8 percentage points in November 2022 (7.0%) compared to its inflation rate in the same month last year, which was recorded at 4.2 percent. The current inflation rate (7.0%) of the province is lower compared to the headline inflation of the Philippines and Davao Region, which stood at 8.0 percent and 9.7 percent, respectively (Table A). The average inflation of Davao del Norte for the first 11 months of the year 2022 stood at 5.7 percent (Table B).
