Amoyen highlighted that some of the objectives of the 2024 Community-Based Monitoring System are to conduct more comprehensive poverty analysis and needs prioritization, provide mechanism for impact monitoring over time, provide information that will enable a system of public spending that warrants government allocation on areas and populace that are most wanting and to design appropriate policies and interventions.
It was also discussed the General Roles and Responsibilities of the CBMS Coordinating Boards, one of the responsibilities is to resolve issues and concerns encountered in the conduct of CBMS. For issues that cannot be resolved at the city/municipal level, it must be escalated to the Provincial CBMS Coordinating Board.
Relatedly, The CBMS facilitates ongoing monitoring and evaluation of development initiatives, allowing LGUs to track progress, measure impact, and adjust strategies as needed. This iterative process promotes adaptive management and continuous improvement in local development efforts.
