PSA Davao del Norte Provincial Statistical Office (DavNor PSO) employees give a collective effort in a form of giving services in line with the mission of the office which build its social responsibility.
Based on the 2020 Census of Population and Housing (CPH), Davao del Norte had a total household population of 1,115,167 persons. Of this total, 10.5 percent or 116,638 persons were comprised of the household population from the Island Garden City of Samal (IGaCOS).
The median age of the population of the municipality of Kapalong is calculated at 23.6 years old, which means that half of the household population was younger than 23.6 years, while the other half is older than 23.6 years. This is higher than the median ages of 22.9 years and 22.2 years that were posted in 2015 and 2010, respectively. (Figure 3)

As the highest policy-making body on statistical matters in the province, the Provincial Statistics Committee in Davao del Norte (PSC) along with its members assembled for its 3rd quarterly meeting on 09 September 2022 at the Training Room of the Philippine Statistics Authority Davao del Norte Provincial Statistical Office. The meeting was presided by the PSC Chairperson, P.G. Department Head of PPDO Davao del Norte, Mr. Nelson F. Plata, MPA, EnP, and was attended by representatives from ten (10) member offices.

The headline inflation in Davao del Norte increased by 6.9 percent in August 2022 compared to its inflation rate in the same month last year, which was recorded at 4.7 percent. The current inflation figure is higher compared to the headline inflation of the Philippines as a whole, which stood at 6.3, but lower compared to the recorded inflation of the Davao Region at 8.9.

Pursuant to DO 24, s. 2008 or the Institutionalizing of Brigada Eskwela Program, all public schools are directed to “engage all stakeholders to contribute their time, efforts and resources in ensuring that public schools are all set in time for class opening.”
The municipality of San Isidro in Davao del Norte is on the go to establish a Community-Based Monitoring System (CBMS), as an economic and social tool for the formulation and implementation of poverty alleviation and development programs, which are specific, targeted, and responsive to the basic needs of each sector of the community. The enumeration of households will be done within the two-month period, which commenced last 8 August 2022.
