“Collaboration for enhance security measures”
Republic Act 11055 otherwise known as the “Philippine Identification System” (PhilSys) Act aims to establish a single national identification to Filipino citizen and resident aliens of the Republic of the Philippines.

In a move to strengthen security measures in utilizing the PhilID in an unlawful manner or use the same to commit fraudulent act or for other unlawful purpose other than what was stipulated in the Act, the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA)-Provincial Statistical Office (PSO-DavNor) visited the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) Tagum District Office (TAGDO). This collaboration aims to influence the capabilities of both entities to ensure the integrity and effectiveness of the implementation of PhilSys, as law of the land.

Strategies and suggestions were collected during the coordinative discussion of PSO-DavNor duly represented by Registration Officer II (RO II) Arneil J. Lagansua and Information Officer I (IO I) Charnel Fate C. Albite with NBI representative Agent Wilfredo R. Castillo.
Furthermore, the NBI recommends to improve the procedural processes and documentation for any unlawful acts in the implementation of the PhilSys.
The initiative of PSO-DavNor in visiting Law Enforcement Agency underscores the importance of data privacy and security. This collaboration opens up opportunities for future initiatives and innovative solutions for unlawful acts in the PhilSys.
