Highlights of the 2021 Full Year Official Poverty Statistics of Davao de Oro

 

Poverty Threshold per Family per month in 2021 is estimated at PhP 10,900. The poverty incidence among families in Davao de Oro was estimated at 17.7 percent or roughly 18 out of 100 families were considered poor for the year 2021. The estimate was lower than the figure in year 2018 which was estimated at 18.6 percent or a decline of 0.9 percentage points. Similarly, the estimated number of poor families in Davao de Oro for the year 2021 is estimated at 33,570 families.
Age and Sex Distribution in Davao de Oro Population (2020 Census of Population and Housing)

 

Males outnumber females in Davao de Oro by 4.6 percent. Based on the 2020 Census of Population and Housing (2020 CPH), Davao de Oro had a total population of 767,547 persons. Of this total, the household population comprised 99.8 percent or 766,299 persons.

The headline inflation of prices in Davao de Oro Province increased to 13.2 percent in October 2022 from 12.5 percent in September 2022. This is the highest recorded inflation of prices since January 2019. Inflation of prices in October 2021 was lower at 3.4 percent. The average inflation for the first nine months of the year stood at 9.1 percent. (Table 1 and Figure 1)

SUMMARY INFLATION REPORT OF DAVAO DE ORO PROVINCE Consumer Price Index, (2018 = 100) SEPTEMBER 2022

 

The headline inflation of prices in Davao de Oro Province increased to 12.5 percent in September 2022 from 10.2 percent in August 2022. This is the highest recorded inflation of prices since January 2019. Inflation of prices in September 2021 was lower at 3.9 percent. The average inflation for the first nine months of the year stood at 8.6 percent. (see Table 1 and Figure 1)

PSC Davao de Oro Convenes for CY 2022 Third Regular Meeting

 

The Provincial Statistics Committee (PSC) Davao de Oro convened last 29 September 2022 at Nabunturan for CY 2022 Third Regular Meeting with ten member agencies in attendance. The convening was called to order by PSC Vice-Chairperson Nova P. Vicente, on behalf of PSC Chairperson Alicia M. Graciadas.
PSA Davao de Oro Status of PhilSys Step Registration as of 31 August 2022

 

As of 31 August 2021, a total of 600,201 Filipinos from the 11 municipalities in Province of Davao de Oro have completed the Step 2 Registration for PhilSys (National ID). Step 2 Registration is the validation of supporting documents and capturing of biometric information such as Iris, fingerprints and front facing photograph at registration centers. The Registration teams are conducting mobile registration by barangay, purok and school institutions to register individual ages 5 years old and over.
PSA Davao de Oro Employees Clash in Sportsfest and Family Day

 

15-16 September 2022 – MONTEVISTA. The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Davao de Oro conducted its 2022 Sportsfest and Family Day at Montevista Sports Complex last 15 to 16 September 2022. This two-day event is in celebration of the 9th founding anniversary of PSA. The said activity was participated by the regular and contract of service workers (COSWs) of the provincial office, headed by the new Officer-in-Charge (OIC) Supervising Statistical Specialist (SSS) Nova P. Vicente.
