15 September 2022 – MONTEVISTA. The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Davao de Oro conducted the tree planting activity at Barangay Linoan, Montevista last 15 September 2022. The said activity was conducted as part of the celebration of the 9th founding anniversary of PSA. The event was participated by the regular and contract of service workers (COSWs) of the provincial office, headed by the new Officer-in-Charge (OIC) Supervising Statistical Specialist (SSS) Nova P. Vicente.

14 September 2022 – NABUNTURAN. The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Davao de Oro conducted the Turnover Ceremony in its change of leadership in the Provincial Statistical Office (PSO) of the province last 12 September 2022.

14 September 2022 – NABUNTURAN. The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Davao de Oro joined the nation in celebrating the 9th founding anniversary of PSA last 12 September 2022 with the theme, “Improving Implementation Strategies through Digital Transformation”.

The headline inflation of prices in Davao de Oro Province decreased to 10.2 percent in August 2022 from 12.0 percent in July 2022. Inflation of prices in August 2022 was lower at 1.8 percentage points compared with the previous month inflation rate. The average inflation for the first eight months of the year stood at 8.1 percent. (see Table 1 and Figure 1)

The total fisheries production in the province of Davao de Oro in 2021 was recorded at 1,669.54 metric tons from 1,431.91 metric tons output in 2020, representing an annual increase of 16.60 percent. This was brought about by the increase in production from marine municipal fisheries and aquaculture. Only inland municipal registered a downtrend in production during the period. (see Table A)

Livestock and poultry inventories drop by 0.16 percent and 1.82 percent, respectively As of January 1, 2022, the total inventory of livestock in Davao de Oro was estimated at 191,006 heads. The total figure was 0.16 percent lower than the registered 191,320 heads of the same period of last year. Of the total livestock inventory, 96.84 percent were raised on backyard farms while the remaining 3.16 percent were raised in commercial farms. The inventory of livestock in backyard farms during this period stood at 184,964 heads, 1.32 percent higher than the previous year of 182,555 heads. However, livestock raised in commercial farms posted a negative growth of 31.07 percent, from 8,765 heads to 6,042 heads this year.

08 August 2022- DAVAO DE ORO. The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Davao de Oro, together with the seven (7) CBMS-participating Local Government Units (LGUs) of the province conducted a Provincial Motorcade last 08 August 2022 to showcase the simultaneous kick-off of data collection in the 2022 PSA-led CBMS National Rollout which will run from 08 August to 05 October 2022.

04 August 2022 – DAVAO CITY. Provincial and Municipal officials of Davao de Oro participated in the recently conducted Regional Dissemination Forum on the Updated Philippine Standard Industrial Classification (PSIC) and Philippine Standard Geographic Code (PSGC) Revision I in Region XI. The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Regional Statistical Services Office (RSSO) XI, headed by Regional Director (RD) Ruben D. Abaro Jr. together with Officer-In-Charge (OIC) Statistical Operations and Coordination Division (SOCD) XI Supervising Statistical Specialist (SSS) Ma. Leah Magracia conducted the said activity last 04 August 2022 at the Grand Regal Hotel, Davao City.

21-28 July 2022 – DAVAO DE ORO. In the conduct of the 2022 PSA-led Community-Based Monitoring System (CBMS), the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) in Davao de Oro continued its capacity building to the CBMS-participating local government units (LGUs) of the province.

04-08 July 2022 – DAVAO CITY. In preparation for the implementation of the 2022 PSA-led Community-Based Monitoring System (CBMS), the Regional Statistical Services Office (RSSO) XI spearheaded Joint 2nd and 3rd Level Training in the 2022 CBMS Data Collection last 04-08 July 2022 held at Mergrande Ocean Resort, Talomo, Davao City.
