The Provincial Statistics Committee (PSC) Davao de Oro convened for its second regular meeting last 29 June 2023 at Nabunturan. The meeting was presided by PSC Chairperson and Provincial Planning and Development Coordinator (PPDC) Alicia M. Graciadas and was attended by 12 member agencies.
Four (4) provisional agenda were discussed during the convening, to wit: (1) updates on the implementation of the 2022 Community-Based Monitoring System (CBMS) in Davao de Oro, (2) updates on the conduct of the 2022 Census of Agriculture and Fisheries (2022 CAF), (3) report on the 2022 Economic Performance of Davao Region, and (4) presentation of the latest PSA Board Approved Resolutions.
During the discussion on CBMS, PSC Vice-Chairperson and Chief Statistical Specialist (CSS) Abraham Enrico E. Gulay, Jr. announced the planned nationwide rollout of 2024 CBMS to be funded by the national government. Participants for this conduct are all cities/municipalities except for the highly urbanized cities (HUCs). Additionally, CSS Gulay shared the upcoming launch of the Data Enclave Centers in the PSA Regional Offices. Through this platform, statistical data will be more accessible to the public and stakeholders.
The convening was successfully concluded and the committee is set to meet for its third regular meeting in August.
