SUMMARY INFLATION REPORT OF DAVAO DE ORO PROVINCE Consumer Price Index, (2018 = 100) March 2023

 

The headline inflation of prices in Davao de Oro Province decreased to 11.5 percent in March 2023 from 12.3 percent in February 2023 or a decrease of 0.8 percentage point. Inflation of prices in March 2022 was lower at 5.2 percent. The average inflation for the year 2023 stood at 12.0 percent.
PSC Davao de Oro Convenes for CY 2023 First Regular Meeting

 

The Provincial Statistics Committee (PSC) Davao de Oro convened last 29 March 2023 at Nabunturan for the CY 2023 First Regular Meeting with 12 member agencies in attendance. The convening was presided by PSC Chairperson and Provincial Planning and Development Coordinator (PPDC) Alicia M. Graciadas, EnP.
PSA Davao de Oro Presents 2020-2022 Trends and Status of the Aquaculture Industry

 

Supervising Statistical Specialist (SSS) Nova P. Vicente of the Philippine Statistics Authority Davao de Oro presented the 2020-2022 Trends and Status of the Aquaculture Industry of the province during the Davao de Oro Aquaculture Stakeholders Convergence on 24 March 2023 conducted by the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) in coordination with the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR)- Provincial Fishery Office at Mateo Hall, Comval Hotel, Poblacion, Nabunturan.
WOMEN AND MEN IN THE PROVINCE OF DAVAO DE ORO

 

Men outnumber women in Davao de Oro by 5 percent The result of the 2020 Census of Population and Housing (2020 CPH) showed that the total household population of Davao de Oro Province aging 15 years old and above has reached to 520,050 individuals, of which 47.5 percent are women and 52.5 percent are men. This can be translated to a sex ratio of 111 men for every 100 women. Men outnumbered women population from age 15-69 years old. However, women outnumbered the population of men from age 70 years old and over. This reflects that mostly women can live longer than men. The number of youths in Davao de Oro Province aging 15-24 years old in 2020 reached a total of 144,432 comprising 18.8 percent of the province total household population. (see Table 1)

Inflation of prices in February 2022 was lower at 5.2 percent. The average inflation for the year 2023 stood at 12.3 percent. (Table 1 and Figure 1)
PSA Davao de Oro Culminates 33rd Civil Registration Month and Awards Outstanding LCROs

 

The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Davao de Oro, headed by Chief Statistical Specialist (CSS) Abraham Enrico E. Gulay, Jr., successfully conducted the 33rd Civil Registration Month Culmination and Awarding of Outstanding Local Civil Registry Offices (LCRO) last 28 February 2023 at Nabunturan. The activity was supported by the Statistical Specialist II (SS II) and Civil Registry Services (CRS) Supervisor Filomeno F. Alas, Jr. of Regional Statistical Services Office (RSSO) XI. Moreover, Municipal Civil Registrars (MCRs) together with their LCRO staff attended the said event.
Livestock & Poultry Inventory of Davao de Oro, as of 01 January 2023

 

As of 01 January 2023, the total inventory of livestock in Davao de Oro was registered at 181,182 heads. The total figure was 5.1 percent lower than the estimated 191,006 heads of the same period of last year.
FISHERIES SITUATION IN DAVAO DE ORO January – December 2022

 

The total fisheries production in the province of Davao de Oro in 2022 was recorded at 1,350.13 metric tons from 1,669.54 metric tons output in 2021, representing an annual decrease of 19.13 percent. This was brought about by the decrease in production in all subsectors during the period.
PSA Davao de Oro Coordinates CBMS Activities to Montevista and Nabunturan

 

In the continuation of the 2022 Community-Based Monitoring System (CBMS) operations this year, the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Davao de Oro coordinated the next phase of CBMS activities to the Local Government Units (LGUs) of Montevista and Nabunturan last 06 February 2023. These two LGUs are the CBMS-participating areas of the province who commenced their 2022 CBMS operations last October.
