In a multi-agency effort during the “Bagong Pilipinas” governance brand
launch last 23-24 September 2023 at Monkayo, Davao de Oro, the Philippine
Statistics Authority (PSA) played a pivotal role in its historical success in the
Bagong Pilipinas Serbisyo Fair (BPSF)
The total fisheries production in Davao de Oro during the 1st Quarter of 2023 reached
398.98 metric tons, marking a significant 34.6 percent increase from the 296.38 metric
tons recorded during the same quarter last year.
The headline inflation of prices in Davao de Oro Province increased to 3.6
percent in August 2023 from 3.1 percent in July 2023 or an increase of 0.5
point. Inflation of prices in August 2022 was higher at 10.2 percent.
The total palay production in Davao de Oro for January-December 2022, estimated at
134,423 metric tons, was lower than the 137,477 metric tons production in 2021. This is
a slight decrease of -2.2 percent or an equivalent of 3,054 metric tons of palay production,
from the previous year’s level.
The 2022 Census of Agriculture and Fisheries (CAF) has officially started on 04 September 2023!
To kick off the data collection for the 2022 CAF which runs from 04 September to 25 October 2023, a motorcade was conducted on the major streets of the Poblacion area of Nabunturan. About 70 PSA regular personnel, contract of service workers (COSWS), and hired census field personnel participated in this motorcade

the Philippine Identification System (PhilSys) Step 2 or National ID Registration
and the PhilSys Birth Registration Assistance Project (PBRAP) unfolded in Brgy.

Datu Ampunan, Laak last 09 August 2023, serving the Dibabawon tribe.
The headline inflation of prices in Davao de Oro Province decreased to 3.1 percent in July 2023 from 5.5 percent in June 2023 or a decrease of 2.4 points. Inflation of prices in July 2022 was higher at 12.0 percent. The average inflation for the year 2023 stood at 8.5 percent.
As a social responsible agency, the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Davao de Oro extends their services to the differently abled persons deprived of liberty (PDLs) in the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) Montevista District Jail last 24 July 2023. This activity was also in celebration of the 45th National Disability Prevention and Rehabilitation Week with the theme, “Persons with Disabilities Accessibility and Rights Towards a Sustainable Future where No One is Left Behind”.
