The overall inflation rate in Davao Oriental slowed down further to 4.4 percentin July 2024 from 4.8 percent in June 2024. This brings the provincial averageinflation from January to July 2024 to 5.1 percent. In July 2023, inflation ratewas higher at 5.0 percent.

City of Mati, Davao Oriental- The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Davao Oriental proudly announces the registration of 32, 789 residents to the Philippine Identification System (PhilSys) during the first semester of 2024 making the total registrants of the province to 485,927. The average inflation rate for the period from January to April 2024 stands at 5.2 percent.

The inflation in Davao Oriental eased to 5.3 percent in March 2024 from 6.9 percent in February 2024. This brings the average inflation from January to March 2024 at 5.5 percent. In March 2023, inflation rate was higher at 12.4 percent. (Tables A and B, and Figure 1)
