City of Mati, Davao Oriental- The first day of October marks the opening of the month-long celebration of the 35th National Statistics Month in the Philippines. PSA Davao Oriental together with its partner agencies, along with other participants commemorated the opening with a huge impact, highlighting the role of technology in advancing the statistical system and the quality of statistics through the adoption of digital tools and platforms optimizing government services to improve the accuracy, timeliness, and accessibility of statistics.
PSA Davao Oriental Delivers National ID to its Centenarian Resident

 

City of Mati, Davao Oriental- In a heartwarming and momentous occasion, National ID personnel from the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Davao Oriental proudly delivered the national identification to one of its most senior citizens, a centenarian resident, celebrating another milestone of public service and ensuring that every Filipino is registered and given their unique identification.
PSA Recognized for its Contribution to Ensuring Insurgency-Free Davao Oriental

 

City of Mati, Davao Oriental- The Provincial Government of Davao Oriental recognizes the dedication, support, and contribution of the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Davao Oriental in sustaining the peace and development of the province, during the 2nd-anniversary celebration of Insurgency-Free Davao Oriental held at the Capitol Covered Court on 19 September 2024. The recognition was personally received by Chief Statistical Specialist (CSS) Emily P. Tomogdan.

The overall inflation rate in Davao Oriental further slowed to 2.6 percent in August 2024 from 4.4 percent in July 2024. This brings the provincial average inflation from January to August 2024 to 4.8 percent. In August 2023, the inflation rate was higher at 7.0 percent. (Tables A and B, and Figure 1)

The inflation rate for the bottom 30% income households in the province further decelerated to 2.9 percent in August 2024 from 5.0 percent in July 2024. This brings the average inflation for this income group from January to August 2024 to 5.8 percent. In August 2023, inflation rate was higher at 6.6 percent. (Tables A and B, and Figure 1)
PSA Davao Oriental and NCIP Collaborated to Serve Indigenous Peoples (IP) during the Medical-Legal Community Outreach

 

The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Davao Oriental in partnership with the National Commission on Indigenous Peoples (NCIP) served and supported the Indigenous Peoples (IPs) in Purok 8, Barangay Pintatagan, Banaybanay, Davao Oriental, and its neighboring sitios. The PSA personnel was spearheaded by Registration Officer II Marlon A. Mag-aso, Registration Officer I Kristel Joy A. Obeal, Birth Registration Coordinator Jenny Rose M. Magandam, and Registration Kit Operator Ian Cablinda.
PSA Davao Oriental Brings National ID System to Former NPA Stronghold, Promoting Peace and Inclusivity

 

City of Mati, Davao Oriental- Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Davao Oriental through the PhilSys Registration Team in the Municipality of Lupon partnered with the Philippine Army 66thIB to register residents of Sitio Sigang, Barangay Maragatas, Lupon, Davao Oriental on 23 August 2024. Team Supervisor Judilyn G. Azucena and Registration Kit Operator Ivy M. Abrigo together with the personnel of the 66thIB defy the unpaved roads to cater to unregistered residents with National ID.

Mapa, PhD, National Statistician and Civil Registrar General of the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) visited Davao Oriental on 19 August 2024. The undersecretary was joined by several key officials from regional and provincial offices in Davao Region led by OIC- Regional Director Randolph Anthony B. Gales. This endeavor aims to strengthen relationships with stakeholders in the municipalities in the province and to meet the hardworking men and women working behind the successes of PSA in this part of the country
PSA Davao Oriental and RPSB Collaborated to Serve Far-Flung Barangay Residents

 

City of Mati, Davao Oriental- The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Davao Oriental collaborated with the Revitalized Police sa Barangay (RPSB) to serve the residents in far-flung barangay, particularly at barangay Don Mariano Marcos, Lupon, and the neighboring sitios on 14 August 2024. The PSA personnel was led by Registration Officer II Marlon A. Mag-aso, Registration Officer I Kristel Joy A. Obeal, Birth Registration Agent Jenny Rose Magandam, and Registration Kit Operator Adriane Carl Guiwan for PhilSys.

The inflation rate for the bottom 30% income households in the provincedecelerated to 5.0 percent in July 2024 from 5.5 percent in June 2024. Thisbrings the average inflation for this income group from January to July 2024 to 6.2 percent. In July 2023, inflation rate was posted at 5.2 percent. (Tables A and B, and Figure 1)
