City of Mati, Davao Oriental- The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Davao Oriental proudly announces the registration of 32, 789 residents to the Philippine Identification System (PhilSys) during the first semester of 2024 making the total registrants of the province to 485,927. This significant milestone marks a major step towards the government’s goal of providing a unified, streamlined identification for all Filipinos.

The PhilSys Registration Team in the province has conducted outreach and partnership activities including information awareness campaigns to educate the public about the benefits and procedures of the PhilSys registration. Mobile registration is also conducted in remote areas to ensure that even the most underserved communities have the opportunity to register.

Aside from the PhilSys registration, PSA Davao Oriental also caters to clients' requests to update the errors in the demographic information registered in their National ID. Residents can also avail for free the replacements of peeled-off PhilIDs damaged due to printing concerns. Personnel assigned in the Registration Centers also register individuals with ePhilID and assist clients in requesting or downloading their digital ID online. The PhilSys ID, also known as the PhilID, was designed to simplify identity verification, thereby reducing the need for multiple IDs and ensuring easier access to government services. It serves as a valid proof of identity for various transactions, including banking, travel, and access to government services.

Residents who have not yet registered are encouraged to register by visiting designated registration centers in every municipality or by participating in mobile registration activities in every barangay. You may also avail of the registration process during the activities conducted by other government partner agencies.
