The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Davao Oriental in partnership with the National Commission on Indigenous Peoples (NCIP) served and supported the Indigenous Peoples (IPs) in Purok 8, Barangay Pintatagan, Banaybanay, Davao Oriental, and its neighboring sitios. The PSA personnel was spearheaded by Registration Officer II Marlon A. Mag-aso, Registration Officer I Kristel Joy A. Obeal, Birth Registration Coordinator Jenny Rose M. Magandam, and Registration Kit Operator Ian Cablinda.
City of Mati, Davao Oriental- Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Davao Oriental through the PhilSys Registration Team in the Municipality of Lupon partnered with the Philippine Army 66thIB to register residents of Sitio Sigang, Barangay Maragatas, Lupon, Davao Oriental on 23 August 2024. Team Supervisor Judilyn G. Azucena and Registration Kit Operator Ivy M. Abrigo together with the personnel of the 66thIB defy the unpaved roads to cater to unregistered residents with National ID.
City of Mati, Davao Oriental- Undersecretary Claire Dennis S. Mapa, PhD, National Statistician and Civil Registrar General of the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) visited Davao Oriental on 19 August 2024. The undersecretary was joined by several key officials from regional and provincial offices in Davao Region led by OIC- Regional Director Randolph Anthony B. Gales. This endeavor aims to strengthen relationships with stakeholders in the municipalities in the province and to meet the hardworking men and women working behind the successes of PSA in this part of the country
City of Mati, Davao Oriental- The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Davao Oriental collaborated with the Revitalized Police sa Barangay (RPSB) to serve the residents in far-flung barangay, particularly at barangay Don Mariano Marcos, Lupon, and the neighboring sitios on 14 August 2024. The PSA personnel was led by Registration Officer II Marlon A. Mag-aso, Registration Officer I Kristel Joy A. Obeal, Birth Registration Agent Jenny Rose Magandam, and Registration Kit Operator Adriane Carl Guiwan for PhilSys.
The inflation rate for the bottom 30% income households in the provincedecelerated to 5.0 percent in July 2024 from 5.5 percent in June 2024. Thisbrings the average inflation for this income group from January to July 2024 to 6.2 percent. In July 2023, inflation rate was posted at 5.2 percent. (Tables A and B, and Figure 1)
The overall inflation rate in Davao Oriental slowed down further to 4.4 percentin July 2024 from 4.8 percent in June 2024. This brings the provincial averageinflation from January to July 2024 to 5.1 percent. In July 2023, inflation ratewas higher at 5.0 percent.
City of Mati, Davao Oriental- The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Davao Oriental proudly announces the registration of 32, 789 residents to the Philippine Identification System (PhilSys) during the first semester of 2024 making the total registrants of the province to 485,927. This significant milestone marks a major step towards the government’s goal of providing a unified, streamlined identification for all Filipinos.
The overall inflation rate in Davao Oriental eased to 4.8 percent in June 2024, down from 6.0 percent in May 2024. The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Davao Oriental wraps up its successful six-day Provincial Level Training for the 2024 Census of Population (PopCen) and Community-Based Monitoring System (CBMS). This crucial training initiative, held from 10 to 15 June, has equipped our Census/CBMS Area Supervisor with the necessary skills and knowledge for the City/Municipal Level Training, and to efficiently carry out the significant data collection.
