The inflation in Davao Oriental slowed down to 6.7 percent in November2023, from 7.2 percent in October 2023. This brings the average inflation from January to November 2023 to 8.2 percent. In November 2022, inflation was higher at 9.3 percent.

The inflation in Davao Oriental increased to 7.2 percent in October 2023,from 6.5 percent in September 2023. This brings the average inflation from January to October 2023 to 8.3 percent. In October 2022, inflation was higher at 8.1 percent.

The inflation in Davao Oriental slowed down to 6.5 percent in September 2023, from 7.0 percent in August 2023. This brings the average inflation rate from January to September 2023 to 8.5 percent. In September 2022, inflation was higher at 9.6 percent. (Tables A and B, and Figure 1)

The inflation in Davao Oriental accelerated to 7.0 percent in August 2023,from 5.0 percent in July 2023. This brings the average inflation rate from January to August 2023 to 8.8 percent. In August 2022, inflation was higher at 7.7 percent.

The inflation in Davao Oriental decelerated further to 5.0 percent in July 2023, from 6.6 percent in June 2023. This is the lowest inflation observed since March 2022 with an inflation rate of 4.1 percent. This brings the average inflation rate from January to July 2023 to 9.0 percent. In July 2022, inflation was higher at 8.5 percent.

The inflation in Davao Oriental slowed down further to 7.5 percent in May 2023, from 10.2 percent in April 2023. Despite the decline, the inflation rate in May 2022 was still lower at 5.9 percent. The average inflation rate for the first five months of the year stood at 10.3 percent.

The inflation in Davao Oriental continued to move at a slower pace of 6.6 percent in June 2023 from 7.5 percent in May 2023. This is the third consecutive month of deceleration in inflation and the lowest in the past 13 months. In June 2022, inflation rate was higher at 7.4 percent The average inflation rate for the first semester of the year stood at 9.7 percent.

City of Mati, Davao Oriental – The Provincial Statistics Committee (PSC) of Davao Oriental convened for its first quarter meeting for 2023 on 15 March 2023 at Honey’s Hotel and Restaurant, Matiao, City of Mati, Davao Oriental. The meeting was presided by Mr. Freddie C. Bendulo, Provincial Planning and Development Coordinator and Chairperson of the PSC.
