With this month’s inflation, Davao Occidental average inflation for the year of 2024 stood at 5.8 percent. In December 2023, the inflation rate was higher at 5.1 percent.
Davao Occidental’s economy grew by 4.7 percent in 2023. This represents an increase in the Gross Domestic Product from PhP 37.91 billion in 2022 to PhP 39.67 billion in 2023. The increase was mainly driven by Services which expanded by 10.5 percent.
