Davao Occidental Provincial Statistical Office launched the 2024 Functional Literacy, Education and Mass Media Survey (FLEMMS) data collection. As Executive Order No. 352 mandated, the survey is one of the statistical activities the government uses for critical and policy decision-making.

The Davao Occidental annual headline inflation declined further to 6.8 percent in August 2024 from 7.4 percent in July 2024. With this month’s inflation, Davao Occidental average inflation for eight months of 2024 stood at 7.2 percent. In August 2023, the inflation rate was lower at
3.2 percent.
As of June 2024, PhilSys Davao Occidental successfully issued a total of 115,820 ePhilIDs which is 42.05% of the total 275,390 registered individuals in the province.
Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Philippine Identification System (PhilSys) successfully registered 17,523 individuals in the Province of Davao Occidental in the 1st half of the year 2024.
