The National Identification System (NIDS) Davao Occidental supported the 35th National Civil Registration Month, which kicked off on 03 February 2025 at the Municipality of Sarangani, Davao Occidental. The event was led by Chief Statistical Specialist (CSS) Jessie A. Madulin, alongside Registration Officer I (RO I) Marian Jade M. Caluyan and NIDS Focal Person Al-Stephen R. Hervas. Municipal Local Civil Registrars within the five municipalities of Davao Occidental were also present during the event.

The Davao Occidental headline inflation rate for the bottom 30% income households declined further to negative 0.7 percent in December 2024 from 1.9 percent in November 2024. In December 2023, the inflation rate was higher at 4.7 percent.
The Davao Occidental annual headline inflation declined further to 2.2 percent in December 2024 from 3.3 percent in November 2024. With this month’s inflation, Davao Occidental average inflation for the year of 2024 stood at 5.8 percent. In December 2023, the inflation rate was higher at 5.1 percent.
