The headline inflation of Davao del Norte decreased by 2.8 percentage points in March 2024 (3.2%) compared to its inflation rate in the same month last year, which was recorded at 6.0 percent. The current inflation rate (3.2%) of the province is higher compared to the headline inflation of the Philippines and Davao Region which was recorded at 3.7 and 4.8 percent.
The inflation in Davao del Norte for bottom 30% income households decreased by 5.6 percentage points in March 2024 (2.3%) compared to its inflation rate in the same month last year, which was recorded at 7.9 percent. The current inflation rate (2.3%) in the province is lower compared to the inflation in the Philippines and Davao Region, which stood at 4.6 percent and 5.3 percent

Section 3 of the Republic Act 11055 otherwise known as the “Philippine Identification System” (PhilSys) Act provides that the PhilSys shall primarily be established to provide a valid proof of identity for all Filipino citizens and resident aliens to simplify private and public transactions. To ensure an inclusive identification, the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) launched the registration of children below five years old.
Due to the issuance of Memorandum by the Department of Social and Welfare Development (DSWD) to register the DSWD program beneficiaries in the Philippine Identification System (PhilSys).
In a bid to make PhilSys registration more accessible to the public, the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Provincial Statistical Office Davao del Norte (PSO-DavNor) participated in the series of Mall-Based Registration by the Local Government Unit of Tagum through the Office of the City Civil Registrar.
