SPECIAL RELEASE | Registered Marriages in Davao del Norte, 2023

 

Data on marriages presented in this release were obtained from the registered marriages, either timely or belatedly, at the appropriate Office of the City/Municipal Civil Registrars throughout the country and subsequently submitted for encoding to the Office of the Civil Registrar General through the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA)-Provincial Statistical Offices (PSOs) – Davao del Norte. The information on marriages presented occurred from January to December 2023. Figures presented herein are not adjusted for under registration. This release includes marriages of Filipinos whose usual residence is abroad and marriages of foreign nationals that occurred in the province during the reference period.

Inflation rate is the annual rate of change or the year-on-year change in the Consumer Price Index (CPI) expressed in percent. Davao del Norte's headline inflation eased to 1.2 percent in January 2025.

Inflation rate is the annual rate of change or the year-on-year change in the Consumer Price Index (CPI) expressed in percent. The Inflation rate for the bottom 30% income households in Davao del Norte further decelerated to 0.9 percent in January 2025.
SPECIAL RELEASE | Registered Deaths in Davao del Norte, 2023

 

Davao del Norte recorded 7,944 deaths in 2023, marking a 3.6 percent increase from the 7,668 deaths reported in 2022. This equates to a crude death rate of 7.4, or roughly 7 deaths per 1,000 people. On average, the province experienced 22 deaths per day, equivalent to approximately 1 death every hour (Figure 1 and Table 1).

The inflation in Davao del Norte for bottom 30% income households increased by 1.9 percentage points in January 2025 (0.9%) compared to its inflation rate in the same month last year, which was recorded at -1.0 percent. The current inflation rate (0.9%) in the province is lower compared to the figure of the Philippines (2.4%) but higher compared to Davao Region which was recorded at 0.8 percent.

The headline inflation of Davao del Norte increased by 0.2 percentage points in January 2025 (1.2%) compared to its inflation rate in the same month last year, which was recorded at 1.0 percent. The current inflation rate (1.2%) of the province is lower compared to the headline inflation of the Philippines and Davao Region which was recorded at 2.9 percent and 2.1 percent, respectively (Table A).

In the first quarter of 2024, the overall volume of cereal production in Davao del Norte was 37,805.1 metric tons, a 22.6 percent decrease from 48,858.8 metric tons of the same period in the previous year.

In the first quarter of 2024, the overall volume of cereal production in Davao del Norte was 37,805.1 metric tons, a 22.6 percent decrease from 48,858.8 metric tons of the same period in the previous year.

The cereal production in Davao del Norte increased by 13.4 percent in the second quarter of 2024, which is slower compared to the 14.6 percent growth recorded in the same period of 2023. This represents an increase in the production volume from 42,706.8 metric tons in 2023 to 48,418.8 metric tons in 2024.
