City of Mati, Davao Oriental- The Provincial Government of Davao Oriental recognizes the dedication, support, and contribution of the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Davao Oriental in sustaining the peace and development of the province, during the 2nd-anniversary celebration of Insurgency-Free Davao Oriental held at the Capitol Covered Court on 19 September 2024. The recognition was personally received by Chief Statistical Specialist (CSS) Emily P. Tomogdan.

For the past several years, PSA Davao Oriental has been actively participating in the provincial government’s programs aimed at addressing security concerns, by catering to requests for civil registration documents, and registration to the Philippine Identification System (PhilSys). These efforts have greatly contributed to increasing trust and confidence to the government from communities formerly infested by rebels and other leftist groups.

These efforts have greatly contributed to the increasing trust and confidence in the government from communities formerly infested by rebels and other leftist groups. The declaration of Davao Oriental as insurgency-free is a significant milestone for the province, which has long faced security challenges posed by insurgent groups. In his message, Governor Niño Sotero L. Uy Jr. said “Attaining lasting peace is the only key to the development of the province, and he is grateful for the unwavering support rendered by the local and national government offices in achieving that goal”.

The recognition is a testament to PSA’s unwavering commitment to ensuring the delivery of its services to the Oryental Dabawenyos.
