the Bagong Pilipinas Serbisyo Fair (BPSF) launching in Monkayo, Davao de
Oro last 23-24 September 2023.
On 23 September 2023, the “Bagong Pilipinas” governance brand launch in
Davao de Oro was filled with love through the “Kasalan ng Bayan” ceremony
held in Monkayo Gymnasium which tied 87 couples to the union of marriage.
In a multi-agency effort during the “Bagong Pilipinas” governance brand
launch last 23-24 September 2023 at Monkayo, Davao de Oro, the Philippine
Statistics Authority (PSA) played a pivotal role in its historical success in the
Bagong Pilipinas Serbisyo Fair (BPSF)
On 23 September 2023, during the momentous “Bagong Pilipinas” governance
brand launch at the Monkayo Dome in Brgy. Poblacion, Monkayo, Davao de Oro,
the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) participated in the ceremonial turnover for
the distribution of free birth certificates (Certificate of Live Birth or COLB) with
security paper (SECPA) to the PhilSys Birth Registration Assistance Project
(PBRAP) beneficiaries.
The total palay production in Davao de Oro for January-December 2022, estimated at
134,423 metric tons, was lower than the 137,477 metric tons production in 2021. This is
a slight decrease of -2.2 percent or an equivalent of 3,054 metric tons of palay production,
from the previous year’s level.
The headline inflation of prices in Davao de Oro Province increased to 3.6
percent in August 2023 from 3.1 percent in July 2023 or an increase of 0.5
point. Inflation of prices in August 2022 was higher at 10.2 percent.
The total fisheries production in Davao de Oro during the 1st Quarter of 2023 reached
398.98 metric tons, marking a significant 34.6 percent increase from the 296.38 metric
tons recorded during the same quarter last year.
Empowering the Province and Municipalities of Davao de Oro with Knowledge: PSA Davao de Oro conducted Information Dissemination on the Upcoming Barangay and Household Data Collection of the 2022 Census of Agriculture and Fisheries (2022 CAF) via Radio Broadcast.
The 2022 Census of Agriculture and Fisheries (CAF) has officially started on 04 September 2023!
To kick off the data collection for the 2022 CAF which runs from 04 September to 25 October 2023, a motorcade was conducted on the major streets of the Poblacion area of Nabunturan. About 70 PSA regular personnel, contract of service workers (COSWS), and hired census field personnel participated in this motorcade
On 25 August 2023, the momentum of progress continued as the second round of
the Philippine Identification System (PhilSys) Step 2 or National ID Registration
and the PhilSys Birth Registration Assistance Project (PBRAP) unfolded in Brgy.
