In their remarkable display of commitment to inclusivity and community welfare, the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Davao de Oro successfully conducted the Philippine Identification System (PhilSys) or National ID Registration and PhilSys Birth Registration Assistance Project (PBRAP) in the remote area of Purok 8, Brgy. Datu Ampunan, Laak last 09 August 2023, serving the Dibabawon tribe.
The headline inflation of prices in Davao de Oro Province decreased to 3.1 percent in July 2023 from 5.5 percent in June 2023 or a decrease of 2.4 points. Inflation of prices in July 2022 was higher at 12.0 percent. The average inflation for the year 2023 stood at 8.5 percent.

This activity was also in celebration of the 45th National Disability Prevention and Rehabilitation Week with the theme, “Persons with Disabilities Accessibility and Rights Towards a Sustainable Future where No One is Left Behind”.
The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Davao de Oro is on track with their preparations for the implementation of the 2022 Census of Agriculture and Fisheries (CAF) in the province. They are in full swing for the Second Level Training (2LT) on Barangay and Household Data Collection for the 2022 CAF which started last 01 August 2023 and is set to conclude on 08 August 2023, held at Brgy. Tagdangua, Pantukan.
In their commitment to deliver efficient civil registration services to the public, the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Davao de Oro increased the level of civil registration in the marginalized communities, especially among the Indigenous Peoples (IPs) of the province, through the continuous implementation of PhilSys Registration Assistance Project (PBRAP). Last 20 June 2023, during the 12th Community Relations Service Month of the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) Montevista District Jail, personnel from PSA Davao de Oro handed over the Certificate of Live Birth (COLB) in Security Paper (SECPA) to five IPs that belong to the Dibabawon and Mangguangan Tribe, held at Barangay Camantangan, Montevista.
As of 30 June 2023, 628,342 individuals are reported to be registered to the Philippine Identification System (PhilSys) in Davao de Oro. This is 81.9 percent of the 767,547 total population in the province. Taking into account the number of registered individuals during the first semester of the year, 16,529 are catered by the PhilSys Registration Team (PRT). (Figure 1 and Table 1)
INCLUSIVE IDENTIFICATION FOR ALL! In view of the progressing operations of the Philippine Identification System (PhilSys), the PhilSys registration team (PRT) of Davao de Oro collaborated with their PhilSys Birth Registration Assistance Project (PBRAP) team for the simultaneous conduct of National ID registration and the assistance for late registration of birth.
The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Davao de Oro took center stage at the Kapihan sa PIA as one of the guest speakers last 20 July 2023 at the 2nd Floor of NCCC Nabunturan. The event was a big success, with PSA’s focused discussions on the upcoming conduct of the 2022 Census of Agriculture and Fisheries (2022 CAF), updates on civil registration, a snapshot of the inflation rate, and the progress accomplishments of the Philippine Identification System (PhilSys) or the National ID implementation.
The number of constructions from approved building permits in Davao de Oro decreased to 685 in the fourth quarter of 2022. This is lower by -0.2 percent compared with the same quarter of 2021 output of 686 constructions.
The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Davao de Oro commenced last 10 July 2023, its conduct of the 2023 Updating of List of Aquaculture Farms (ULAF).
