The Davao Occidental annual headline inflation increased to 8.7 percent in February 2023, from 8.4 percent in January 2023. With this month’s inflation, Davao Occidental average inflation for the first two months of 2023 stood at 8.6 percent. In February 2022, inflation rate was lower at 1.4 percent. The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Davao Occidental Provincial Statistical Office recently conducted Civil Registration and Vital Statistics Closing Ceremony with a Poster Making Contest for Junior High School Students at PSA Davao Occidental Provincial Statistical Office on 28 February 2023.The purpose of this competition is to bring out the creative expression of students and gauge their knowledge and awareness on Civil Registration and Vital Statistics.
21 February 2023, Indigenous Filipino School of Upper Kepiya, Brgy. Lawa, Don Marcelino, Davao Occidental – The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Davao Occidental Provincial Statistical Office in coordination with Don Marcelino Public School District and Lawa Central Elementary School conducted Outreach Program as part of the 33rd Civil Registration Month pursuant to Proclamation 682 signed by then President Corazon C. Aquino and issued on 28 January 1991.
