On 29 March 2023, the Philippine Statistics Authority – Davao Occidental officials and staff attended the Culmination Program for the 2023 National Women’s Month Celebration with the “We for Gender Equality & Inclusive Society”, held at the New Malita Gym, Poblacion, Malita, Davao Occidental.

The Provincial Statistics Committee (PSC) of Davao Occidental conducted its first quarter meeting for year 2023 on 15 March 2023 at Training Room, 3rd Flr, Philippine Statistics Authority Davao Occidental Provincial Statistical Office, National Highway, Poblacion Malita, Davao Occidental.
The Davao Occidental Philippine Statistical Office (PSO) headed by Chief Statistical Specialist Jessie A. Madulin conducted the two-day Provincial Level Training on the Barangay Profile Questionnaire and City/Municipal Data Sheet on March 16-17, 2023 at the Training Room, PSA Office, National Highway, Malita, Davao Occidental.
On 08 March 2023, the Philippine Statistics Authority – Davao Occidental officials and staff attended the opening ceremony for the 2023 National Women’s Month Celebration, held at the Municipal covered New Malita Gym, Poblacion, Malita, Davao Occidental.
The Davao Occidental annual headline inflation increased to 8.7 percent in February 2023, from 8.4 percent in January 2023. With this month’s inflation, Davao Occidental average inflation for the first two months of 2023 stood at 8.6 percent. In February 2022, inflation rate was lower at 1.4 percent. (Table A and Figure 1)

The month of February is celebrated in the Philippines as the Civil Registration Month, in line with this celebration Philippine Statistical Office – Davao Occidental headed by Chief Statistical Specialist Jessie A. Madulin initiated a School Forum on Civil Registration at SPAMAST-Malita Campus located at Malita, Davao Occidental on 22 February 2023.
