The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) – Davao Occidental Provincial Statistical Office conducted a four-day Third Level Training (3LT) for the 2023 National Information and Communications Technology Household Survey (NICTHS) on 29 January – 01 February 2024 at Training Room, 3rd Flr, Philippine Statistics Authority Davao Occidental Provincial Statistical Office, National Highway, Poblacion Malita, Davao Occidental. 

The training was conducted to capacitate all hired Statistical Researchers (SRs) and Team Supervisor (TS) during their field operations as training sessions covered an overview about the survey and survey objectives, survey information, usage of Computer-Assisted Personal Interview (CAPI) system, and general procedures and guidelines for accomplishing the Community, Household, and Individual Questionnaires.

Statistical Analyst Charmaine R. Sabanal and COSW-Statistical Analyst Mae Leonacor C. Sibla who attended the second level training for the 2023 NICTHS served as trainers during the 3LT. The training sessions were vital to equip SRs and TS during the enumeration period which will start on 05 February 2024.

The 2023 NICTHS is part of the larger Digital Philippines initiative of the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT). The implementation of the 2023 NICTHS will be handled by the Philippine Statistics Authority, mandated under Republic Act No. 10625 (The Philippine Statistical Act of 2013), as the central statistical authority of the Philippine government on primary data collection.
