The 2024 Community-Based Monitoring System (CBMS) was officially convened with the CBMS Coordinating Board of the City of Tagum at City Hall, J.V. Ayala Avenue, Apokon Road, Tagum City on 26th of February 2024.
CSS Amoyen together with the CCB of the City of Tagum discussing the overview of the 2024 CBMS
Chief Statistical Specialist Pepito D. Amoyen highlighted the purposes of the 2024 CBMS, which are to generate updated disaggregated data necessary in targeting beneficiaries, conducting more comprehensive poverty analysis and needs prioritization, designing appropriate policies and interventions, and monitoring impact over time. Furthermore, CBMS data serves as a valuable resource for LGUs in their planning and decision-making processes. By incorporating CBMS data into local development plans, LGUs can identify key development priorities, set realistic targets, and track progress over time. This facilitates evidence-based planning and enables LGUs to respond effectively to emerging challenges and opportunities.
Earlier that day, Chief Statistical Specialist Pepito D. Amoyen leads the courtesy call to Mayor Rey T. Uy in the dynamic City of Tagum for the upcoming 2024 Community- Based Monitoring System. This initiative underscores the commitment of PSA to deliver relevant and reliable statistics.
Ultimately, the convening of the 2024 CBMS is a testament to the collective commitment to building a brighter, more equitable future for all. By embracing the principles of participatory governance and leveraging the power of data, drive inclusive development, and pave the way for sustainable change.
