1.    Headline Inflation

In April 2025, the headline inflation rate in Davao City remained at 1.9 percent, the same rate level in March 2025. Notably, the current inflation rate was 2.8 percentage points lower than the figure reported in April 2024 at 4.7 percent. (Table A and Figure 1).

Total number of constructions from approved building permits declines by 12.4 percent

The total number of constructions from approved building permits in Davao City declined by 12.4 percent, with 2,086 constructions recorded in 2024 from 2,381 constructions in 2023.

Total number of constructions from approved building permits increases by 7.1 percent

The total number of constructions from approved building permits in Davao del Sur increased by 7.1 percent, with 878 constructions recorded in 2024 from 820 constructions in 2023.
