The Philippines Statistics Authority is the lead agency mandated in carrying out the provisions in implementing the Philippine Identification System (PhilSys). In line with this, the Davao Occidental Provincial Statistical Office headed by Supervising Statistical Specialist, Officer-in-charge Munria L. Banto strengthen its commitment to register 92 million Filipinos by the end of September 2024 on PhilSys.

In connection to this, the PhilSys Davao Occidental initiates a Schools and House to house registration which focuses on Child Development Centers in each municipality of the province and a co-location activity with DSWD’s 4P’s Beneficiaries. Furthermore, the PhilSys team started registering children 1-4 years old last February 2024. By the end of September 2024, PSA Davao Occidental registered a total of 282,180 individuals in which 7,126 of these are children ages 1-4 years old.

PSA Davao Occidental are grateful for the unending and relentless effort of the field personnel who travel even in the farthest, remote and far-flung areas despite of the challenges in weather and terrain.

Moreover, PSA Davao Occidental would also like to extend our sincerest gratitude to our partner agencies, the Local and National Government Agencies, Regional line agencies and the Barangay Government for the unending support to the program as well as our goals and objectives.
