The Philippine Statistics Authority - Davao Occidental Provincial Statistical Office conducted the 2024 Census of Population and Community Based Monitoring System (POPCEN-CBMS) Barangay Profile Questionnaire (BPQ) Data Collection and Service Facilities and Government Projects (SFGP) Listing Orientation at the Gym, Mabila, Sarangani, Davao Occidental on 07 May 2024.

The orientation was led by Senior Statistical Specialist Rodon S. Tahil and Statistical Specialist II Kimberly M. Ocariza. Personnel from all twelve barangays of Sarangani along with representatives from the Municipal LGU were present.

Participants were briefed regarding the integrated POPCEN-CBMS operations and the BPQ Data Collection and SFGP Listing. This activity will establish an initial list and estimated number of service facilities and government. The list will serve as a reference for geotagging operations and will be used to determine facts, figures, and maps of the different dimensions of poverty.
 

Information on the forthcoming Household Profile Questionnaire (HPQ) data collection were discussed. The barangay personnels were informed of the manpower requirements for their respective barangay as well as the qualifications, documentary requirements, and application procedures.

The concerns and questions raised by representatives of the barangay were also addressed and the training concluded with a reiteration of the critical partnership between the PSA and the LGU for the successful implementation of the 2024 POPCEN-CBMS.
