On 17 February 2023, the Philippine Statistics Authority – Davao Occidental headed by Chief Statistical Specialist Jessie A. Madulin together with Supervising Statistical Specialist Munria L. Banto and Administrative Officer I Gretle Mae E. Satur conducted the Solemnizing Officers Briefing in celebration of the 33rd Civil Registration Month, in coordination with of Sto. Rosario Parish in Poblacion, Malita, Davao Occidental headed by Rev. Fr. Rogelio A. Albite, DCD.
The briefing was conducted for roman catholic parish priests and staff of the province of Davao Occidental in observance of the 33rd Civil Registration Month Celebration that aims to remind the citizenry of their duty to register acts and events concerning the status of persons, enhance nationwide awareness and appreciation of the legal, administrative and statistical values of civil registry documents. Specifically, the Administrative Order No. 1 series of 2021 or “2021 Implementing Rules and Regulations Governing the Registration of Authority to Solemnize Marriage of Bishops, Heads/Founders of Religions and Religious Sects, Priests, Rabbis, Imams, Religious Ministers, Tribal Heads/Leaders/Chieftains, Community Leaders and Other Designated authorities with the Civil Registrar General” was discussed thoroughly during the briefing.
CSS Madulin discussed background of Civil Registration and the proper filling-up of Municipal Form No. 97 or the Certificate of Marriage. Likewise, SSS Banto tackled on the features of AO 1 series of 2021. Queries and concerns raised by the participants regarding CRASM and registration of marriages were answered immediately by the CSS Madulin and SSS Banto. At the end of the briefing, Rev. Fr. Rogelio A. Albite expressed his gratitude for PSA in conducting the briefing for the parish priests and their staff. Likewise, they are planning to conduct an Orientation on Civil Registration for their church leaders so that they can help their parishioners in the registration of their vital events.
