Davao City - The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Davao del Sur remains steadfast in its ongoing efforts and initiatives to ensure the delivery of Return-To-Sender (RTS) PhilID cards to residents throughout Davao City. Aligned with the national government's endeavor to establish a secure and unified identification system through the Philippine Identification System (PhilSys), PSA Davao del Sur has utilized all available means and efforts to ensure the delivery of Return-To-Sender PhilID cards to their intended recipients.
On November 4, 2023, the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Davao del Sur initiated its efforts to re-deliver Return-To-Sender PhilID cards to the intended recipients after unsuccessful delivery attempts by the Philippine Postal Corporation (PHLPost). Some of the reasons for undelivered PhilID cards include the addressee cannot be located, incorrect or insufficient address details, lack of contact numbers, relocation to another location, and various other factors.
As of April 30, 2024, PSA Davao del Sur has successfully delivered a total of 7,033 Return-To-Sender PhilID cards since the start of the initiative, with the overall total remaining undelivered RTS PhilID at 8,676. This remarkable achievement not only signifies the effort and commitment of PSA Davao del Sur but also highlights its dedication to inclusivity by ensuring that more Filipinos, particularly those from marginalized sectors, can have a valid proof of identity and access to essential government and financial services.
