The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) – Provincial Statistical Office of Davao del Sur conducted a capacity-building session on Provincial Product Accounts (PPA) on 05 September 2024 (Thursday) at 9:00 AM through a face-to-face conference held at The Ritz Hotel at Garden Oases, Porras Street, Bo. Obrero, Poblacion, Davao City.

The workshop was attended by executives, official representatives, and technical staff of the member agencies of the Provincial Statistics Committee (PSC) of Davao del Sur. The resource persons for the workshop included from the Macroeconomics Accounts Service – Subnational Economic Accounts Division (MAS-SEAD); Officerin-Charge Elgie A. Gulane-Rosenblad and Senior Statistical Specialist Precious Anne C. De Jesus.

The event aimed to strengthen participants' understanding of the importance of locallevel statistics in guiding regional development and policy formulation. Specifically, it sought to highlight the significance of national accounts, particularly the compilation of PPA and its outcomes, while also informing stakeholders, including local government units (LGUs) and provincial line agencies, about the implementation of the PSA Data Sharing project with LGUs for the business register.
