The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) of Davao de Oro upskills its employees by conducting a training workshop in Basic Videography and Editing Using Smartphone last 17 May 2023. This was in partnership with the Philippine Information Agency (PIA) of the province, headed by Information Center Manager (ICM) Michael L. Uy.

The training workshop was participated by the Philippine Identification System (PhilSys) and Statistical personnel of the Provincial Statistical Office with ICM Uy as the trainer. He discussed the basic principles in videography and basic editing tools. He also shared tips on how to make a video in a simple yet effective way and with this, every participant was able to experience how to take a video, compile and edit them to come up with one output using their respective smartphones.

Chief Statistical Specialist Abraham Enrico E. Gulay, Jr. of PSA Davao de Oro wanted to ensure that all personnel are trained on basic videography as the agency geared towards digital transformation. One of the expected outputs of this training workshop is for the office to be able to submit and comply with the standard format of testimonial videos to the Central Office by capturing the experience of selected individuals to the PhilSys registration and usage of the PhilID, also known as the National ID.
