The Philippine Identification System (PhilSys) of the Philippines Statistics Authority of   Davao de Oro resumes its Step 2 Registration operation in the province last 03 January 2023.

The year 2022 had been challenging for the PhilSys Step 2 Registration teams but despite that, a total of 29,692 registrants from the 11 municipalities of the province were successfully registered. Registrants that were registered were children five (5) years old and above.

Moving forward, PhilSys Davao de Oro is required to operate 21 registration kits in the first quarter of 2023, an increase of 13 registration kits over last year. Consequently, additional registration personnel were hired based on the number of authorized registration kits to be used, to wit: seven (7) Registration Center Supervisors, 21 Registration Kit Operators, seven (7) Screeners, and seven (7) Alternate Screeners deployed to operate the Step 2 Registration.

To recall, Step 2 Registration is the validation of supporting documents and collection of biometric information such as iris scan, fingerprints, and front-facing photographs of all Filipino people.
