The Provincial Statistical Committee (PSC) convened for its First Quarter Meeting on March 26, 2025, at the Conference Room of the Provincial Planning Development Office in Brgy. Lais, Malita, Davao Occidental.

National ID Focal Person Al-Stephen Hervas presented vital updates on the National Identification System, emphasizing the rebranding of the Philippine Identification (PhilID) to National ID in accordance with the latest policies.

PFP Hervas discussed the three formats of the National ID, which include the physical National ID card, the ePhilID/National ID in paper format, and the Digital National ID. He highlighted the system’s enhanced security features, streamlined public service access, and the ongoing efforts to replace National IDs with peeled-off photos. The discussion also covered the salient features and services offered through the National ID, aiming to promote awareness and accessibility of the system for the province’s residents.

The meeting concluded with a commitment to strengthen collaboration among government agencies and local stakeholders, ensuring the effective implementation and utilization of statistical data to drive development and deliver efficient public services.
