The Davao Occidental Philippine Statistical Office (PSO) headed by Chief Statistical Specialist Jessie A. Madulin conducted the two-day Provincial Level Training on the Barangay Profile Questionnaire and City/Municipal Data Sheet on March 16-17, 2023 at the Training Room, PSA Office, National Highway, Malita, Davao Occidental. The training was attended by representatives from Provincial Planning Development Office (PPDO), Municipal Planning Development Office, Department of Interior Local Government, PSA employees. 
 

CSS Madulin welcomed and thanked everyone for attending the training. He also shared in his remarks that this activity marks the start of various activities that the office will be conducting for the CBMS.

The training aims to teach the participants on the proper filling up of the barangay profile questionnaire and city/municipal data sheet. The barangay profile questionnaire aims to gather data on service institutions and infrastructures present in the barangay, availability and use of ICT tools, disaster risk reduction and management plan and programs, recorded crimes, annual budget for the last three years, and projects and activities in the past year based on Annual Investment Plan. Meanwhile, the city/municipal LGU data sheet collects information on the infrastructure and non- infrastructure government projects, specifically on the project name or title, budget allocated/cost incurred, status and geographic location. The PSO invited ISA I Argel Ryan C. Jayo of the Regional Statistical Services Office XI and COSW-SS II Fiel Melan C. Bulaong of Davao Oriental PSO as trainers of the 2-day training. All concerns and issues raised by the participants were answered clearly the trainers.

To officially end the training, SSS Munria L. Banto gave her closing remarks wherein she expressed her gratitude to all the participants for actively listening and interacting during the discussion. She encourages everyone to support the incoming activities of the CBMS in the province.
