Empowering the Province and Municipalities of Davao de Oro with Knowledge: PSA Davao de Oro conducted Information Dissemination on the Upcoming Barangay and Household Data Collection of the 2022 Census of Agriculture and Fisheries (2022 CAF) via Radio Broadcast.
Davao de Oro - In an effort to promote transparency and empower constituents/stakeholders with valuable insights, the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) was pleased to announce the forthcoming Barangay and Household Data Collection for the 2022 CAF through radio broadcast in the Municipality of Monkayo last 29 August 2023. This landmark initiative is set to provide a comprehensive view of the agricultural and fisheries landscape, contributing to informed decision-making and sustainable development in the province of Davao de Oro.
The 2022 CAF is a large-scale government undertaking geared towards the collection and compilation of basic information on agricultural and fishery sectors in the Philippines. It is a comprehensive effort to collect accurate and up-to-date information about the agriculture and fisheries sectors. It covers a wide range of topics, from the number and types of farms and fishing operations to land use, employment trends, and even socio-economic aspects. This data is crucial for policymakers, researchers, and industry players to make informed decisions and promote sustainable growth.
The enumeration process is set to begin on 04 September 2023 and will end on 25 October 2023. During this period, enumerators from PSA will be visiting farms, fishing operations, and households to gather information. Respondent's cooperation ensures that the data to be collected truly reflects the state of agriculture and fisheries in the province as a whole.
The radio broadcast has attended by Supervising Statistical Specialist Nova P. Vicente, Statistical Specialist II Ronald R. Piad and Statistical Analyst Sharlene Grace M. Jaurigue of PSA Davao de Oro. "CAFarmer, CAFisher, Tayo ang Bida!"
