The Philippine Statistics Authority - Davao Oriental Provincial Statistical Office actively participated in the Parada Davao Oriental organized by the Provincial Local Government of Davao Oriental as one of the many activities for its 50th Founding Anniversary last June 30, 2017 from downtown Mati to the Provincial Capitol Grounds.
PSA's float is a creative representation of the census logo. It is comprised of various elements. The house represents the basic unit of enumeration which is the household. The 5-man figure symbolizes the average household size based on prior censuses which is 5. The line graph raising upward symbolizes the upward trend of the growing population. The lines on the roof represent the 18 administrative regions of the Philippines. On the right and left sides of the house are postings of information about the office, selected statistics on population, agriculture and civil registration and vital statistics.
