City of Mati, Davao Oriental-The Provincial Statistical Office of Davao Oriental will spearhead the celebration of the 33rd Civil Registration Month (CRM) in February 2023. Presidential Proclamation No. 682 declares the month of February of every year as Civil Registration Month(CRM) affirmed by former President Corazon C. Aquino on the 28th of January 1991. The annual observance aims to remind the citizenry of their duty to register acts and events concerning status of persons, enhance nationwide awareness and appreciation of the legal, administrative,and statistical values of civil registry documents and enjoin policy makers and the Local Government Unites (LGUs) to provide adequate funds for CRVS and enforcement and administration of laws.
The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) as the agency mandated to carry-out the provisions of Act No. 3753 will spearhead the month-long celebration of the CRM. This year’s celebration will adopt the theme, “PSA @ 10: Providing Efficient and Effective Civil Registration and Vital Statistics through Digital Transformation”, aligned with the PSA theme for 2023.
The following are the activities to be conducted by PSA Davao Oriental during the month-long celebration:
The Local Civil Registry Offices (LCROs) province-wide will also conduct various activities including information and education campaign on CRVS, free mobile registration, “Kasalan ng Bayan/Barangay” and free issuance of certifications, among others.

The public are also enjoined to participate in the 33rd CRM celebration by timely registering vital acts and events in their nearest LCROs.
