Moreover, Municipal Civil Registrars (MCRs) together with their LCRO staff attended the said event.

Pursuant to Proclamation No. 682 signed by the former President Corazon C. Aquino on 28 January 1991, February of every year is declared as the Civil Registration Month. This annual celebration aims to remind the Filipinos of their duty to register acts and events concerning status of persons, enhance nationwide awareness, and appreciation of the legal, administrative, and statistical values of civil registry documents.

To conclude the month-long celebration of the Civil Registration Month, PSA Davao de Oro took time to acknowledge the efforts of its LCROs. Major highlights of the event were the Dissemination of Latest Vital Statistics in Davao Region followed by the Training on the Decentralized Copy Annotation Process (DECAP). The said activities were delivered by SS II Alas where he shared the latest statistics on vital events in Davao Region. For the training on DECAP, he shared the latest updates and reiterated the standard processes that the LCROs must comply. After the presentation, a question-and-answer portion and an open forum were facilitated to cater the issues and concerns of the participants.

On the second part of the celebration, the awarding ceremony commenced with CSS Gulay and SSII Alas spearheading the distribution of plaques and tokens to the awardees. LCRO Monkayo bagged the highest number of awards. They were hailed as the 1st Top Performing Local Civil Registry Office and the Best LCRO with the Most Organized/Quality Workplace and for having the Most Updated Civil Registry Books. LCRO New Bataan landed as the 2nd Top Performing Local Civil Registry Office and was the Best LCRO having the Most Quality Data.
