The Philippine Statistics Authority of Davao de Oro kicked off the nationwide celebration of the 33rd Civil Registration Month (CRM) with the theme “PSA@10: Providing Efficient and Effective Civil Registration and Vital Statistics through Digital Transformation” last 01 February 2023.

The activity started with a motorcade in sync to the rhythm of the Civil Registration and Vital Statistics’ jingle, “Masasagot”. This was attended by the PSA Davao de Oro employees including hired field and office-based contract of service workers (COSWs). The Nabunturan Municipal Police took the lead in the motorcade by guiding the route to take and keeping everyone safe during the event.

A CRM Quiz Bee was also conducted during the launching ceremony with two categories: regular employees and COSWs. The top three winners from these categories will represent the province during the Regional CRM Quiz Bee.

February of every year is the celebration of Civil Registration Month pursuant to Proclamation No. 682 issued on 28 January 1991. This is to remind the Filipinos of their duty to register vital events in their life such as births, marriages, and deaths, as well as decrees, legal instruments, and judicial orders affecting their civil status.
