03 February 2023 – PANTUKAN. The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) of Davao de Oro, spearheaded by Chief Statistical Specialist (CSS) Abraham Enrico E. Gulay, Jr., conducted a visit to the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Pantukan for the coordination and information on the on-going and upcoming major projects of PSA.

With the participation of LGU Pantukan in the 2022 Community-Based Monitoring System (CBMS), CSS Gulay also visited the Municipal Planning and Development Office, the lead office in the implementation of CBMS in their locality and headed by Municipal Planning and Development Coordinator (MPDC) Alfredo D. Lantay, to give an update on the status of their CBMS data processing activities which was led by PSA and to coordinate with them the next phase and timetable of the CBMS operations this year. In addition, CSS Gulay also gave an advance notice to MPDC Lantaya on the upcoming project of the PSA which is on the Census of Agriculture and Fisheries (CAF), wherein part of its preliminaries is to coordinate the map shape files to be used as operational maps during CAF activities.

Lastly, CSS Gulay didn’t miss the opportunity to also do a courtesy call with Hon. Municipal Mayor Leonel “Jhong” Ceniza and extend his gratitude for the support of LGU Pantukan in the different projects of the PSA. Furthermore, the request on the set-up of the registration center for the continuous operation of the Philippine Identification System Step 2 Registration was granted by Mayor Luego. He was also updated with the progress of the CBMS operations and was informed of the preliminary activities for the implementation of CAF. Consequently, Mayor Ceniza openly shared the undertakings of his leadership for the improvement of their office and good governance for his constituents.

During the visit, CSS Gulay was supported by Supervising Statistical Specialist Nova P. Vicente, who is also the Provincial CBMS Focal Person and Statistical Specialist II Ronald R. Piad, the Provincial CAF Focal Person, with the assistance of Miss Christine A. Evangelio, who is a contract of service worker for CBMS.
