08 August 2022- DAVAO DE ORO. The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Davao de Oro, together with the seven (7) CBMS-participating Local Government Units (LGUs) of the province conducted a Provincial Motorcade last 08 August 2022 to showcase the simultaneous kick-off of data collection in the 2022 PSA-led CBMS National Rollout which will run from 08 August to 05 October 2022.
The motorcade started at 8:30 am, and was participated by PSA Davao de Oro Personnel and the LGU CBMS Core Teams with their hired field personnel. The starting point of the route was at the Municipal Hall of Pantukan to the premises of the Municipality of Mabini, proceeding towards the Municipality of Mawab and straight ahead to the Capital Municipality of the Province, Nabunturan. In the afternoon, the motorcade continued to the Municipality of Maragusan traveling to the Municipality of New Bataan with the last motorcade in the Municipality of Montevista. The mentioned municipalities are the CBMS-participating LGUs of the province for the August 2022 batch of CBMS implementation.
The activity which aims to intensify the dissemination of information relative to CBMS and ensure stronger support and wider participation of residents in the enumeration was done by touring around major roads and stopping at strategic locations with heavy foot traffic in the said municipalities. Tarpaulins and balloons/flags were also displayed in the PSA and LGU vehicles’ hoods while the official CBMS jingle was played in the background.
The CBMS shall generate updated and disaggregated data for policies and programs at the national and local levels to alleviate poverty and promote socio-economic development.
