as 4Ps Compliance for Beneficiaries
Date of Release: 31 January 2025
Reference No. PRDDN2025-001
The Provincial Statistical Office of Davao del Norte (PSO-DavNor) recently participated in an informative segment of the PTV-DavNor program, "Kasamtangan Katikaran sa Kalambuan" (KKK), in collaboration with the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD). This initiative aims to promote National ID registration as part of the Family Development Session (FDS) equivalency program.
Hosted by Provincial Information Officer Mervinjay Suaybaguio, PhD, DDM, the segment emphasized the significance of the National ID in facilitating access to products and services across both public and private sectors.
During the orientation, Diana O. Mejorada, RSW, FDS Specialist from the DSWD Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps), highlighted the numerous benefits of registering for the National ID, particularly for beneficiaries of the 4Ps. She raised awareness about the concerning number of beneficiaries who have yet to register and encouraged their active participation in this vital campaign led by the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA). This campaign aims to ensure that all unregistered individuals obtain valid proof of identity. By successfully registering and authenticating their National IDs, participants will be eligible for equivalency in Family Development Sessions (FDS).
Michelle O. Maningo, Officer-in-Charge of PSO DavNor, emphasized the three forms of the National ID: the physical National ID, the paper form, and the National Digital ID, all of which hold the same validity and usage. She expressed her enthusiasm regarding the acceptance of biometric authentication methods, such as iris/fingerprint scanning and facial recognition, which help reduce instances of identity fraud and falsification.
To prevent delays in the release of the National ID, Registration Officer II Ronald Victor Q. Membreve reminded the public to avoid double registration.
This initiative underscores the PSA's commitment to enhancing service delivery and ensuring that residents of Davao del Norte have access to essential information and resources. By actively engaging with the community through events like this, PSA-DavNor empowers every resident to access critical services that contribute to national development and promote efficient governance.
