The Philippine Statistics Authority – Provincial Statistical Office of Davao del Norte (PSA-PSO DDN) partnered with the City Civil Registrar Office of Tagum for a mobile registration initiative. On 06 February 2025, PSA-PSO DDN conducted an on-site National ID Registration and issued printable National IDs to Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDLs) at the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) in City of Tagum, Davao del Norte. This activity was part of the 35th Civil Registration Month celebration, aiming to create a resilient and future-fit Civil Registration and Vital Statistics (CRVS) system.

The initiative emphasized the importance of providing PDLs with National IDs as a crucial identity document, helping them secure legal recognition and access to essential services. By facilitating this, the PSA-PSO DDN and the City Civil Registrar’s Office demonstrated their commitment to inclusive services and social reintegration, contributing to the enhancement of the CRVS system in the Philippines.

Through this partnership, the PSA-PSO DDN and the City Civil Registrar’s Office signify their unwavering commitment to providing essential services that ensure every Filipino citizen, regardless of their circumstances, has the tools to secure a more equitable future. The initiative also contributes to the ongoing efforts to enhance the Nation’s Civil Registration and Vital Statistics System, driving it toward greater resilience and efficiency for all Filipinos.
