The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) continues its National ID registration efforts, providing residents with the opportunity to obtain a valid proof of identity. This initiative aims to ensure every Filipino has a standardized identification card to streamline public and private transactions.

The National ID registration is open to all individuals, and the government encourages everyone to take advantage of this inclusive identification system and enjoy the benefits of being National ID-registered.

The following will be the needed requirements upon registration to National ID:

For 15 years old and above:

-Any government-issued ID/document (e.g., Driver’s License, Passport, SSS ID, Police Clearance) or a Certificate of Live Birth (COLB) in Security Paper (for single marital status).

For 5-14 years old:

-Certificate of Live Birth (COLB) from the Local Civil Registry Office or PSA-issued in Security Paper.

For 4 years old and below:

-Parents or guardians must provide demographic information, including the child's full name, sex, date and place of birth, blood type, address, citizenship status, and contact details. While full biometric information will be captured when the child turns five, initial registration focuses on demographic data and front-facing photograph adhering to the registration guidelines.

Key Notes:

-Accepted documents include a Certificate of Live Birth issued by PSA or LCRO, or a Report of Birth from the PSA or Philippine Foreign Service Post (PFSP).

-It is important to note that while complete biometric information will be captured once the child reaches the age of five, the initial registration process for children aged 1 to 4 focuses primarily on collecting demographic data. Additionally, only front-facing photograph will be captured during registration, and they must adhere to specific guidelines. This includes ensuring clear visibility of the child's facial features, with the ears visible as much as possible. Parents or guardians will receive notification when it is time to complete the biometric registration process at any National ID Registration Center.

-Upon successful registration, children aged 1 to 4 will be issued with the National ID in Paper, providing them with tangible proof of identity within the National ID System.

PSA Davao de Oro also offers updates to incorrect information in the National ID, such as demographic details and status. All updates must be supported by official documents, with PSA-issued civil registry forms required if applicable.

The National ID serves as a universal identification for government services, financial transactions, and other activities requiring identity verification. To expedite the process, designated registration centers will be established across the province. Residents are encouraged to visit these centers during scheduled dates and times. For updates and additional information, residents may message the official Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/PSAdavaodeoro.

This initiative is in collaboration with local government units, contributing to the success of this nationwide endeavor to build a more connected and resilient community through the National Identification System.
