It is the basis in the updating of Philippine maps and serves as framework for data collection, processing, and compilation in the conduct of censuses and sample surveys and market studies. PSGC is a mean for aggregating huge data being collected and it promotes comparability of data over time and across space. The forum participants were also informed about the e-classification feature of the PSA official website.
