The PSA-RSSO XI in cooperation with the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas-Davao conducted a Closing Ceremony of the 28th
National Statistics Month on October 27, 2017, 1:00 PM-5:00 PM at the Conference Room, Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas-Davao, Quirino Ave., Davao City. The National Anthem and Invocation was led by SSII Marina P. Araneta, followed by a Welcome Remarks by BSP-Davao Director Sonia S. Delos Reyes.

The National Anthem and Invocation was led by SSII Marina P. Araneta, followed by a Welcome Remarks by BSP-Davao Director Sonia S. Delos Reyes. An official video presentation on Ambisyon Natin 2040 from NEDA was watched by the participants. In support of this year NSM theme “ Facts and Figures for the Future: Statistics for Evidence-Based Decisions Towards Ambisyon Nation 2040” PSA XI SOCD Chief Rosendo M. Aya-ay, in lieu of PSA XI Regional Director Eddie E. Nasol, presented the Facts and Figures on the 2015-2016 Survey of Food Demand and the 2015 Poverty Statistics Estimate.
Mr. Jimmie-Loe P. Dela Vega, Executive Director of Davao Association of Catholic Schools gave a message during the program. His ideas focused on the importance of data or statistics in today’s knowledge-based global economy in the information age and the relevance of data in the academe sector. Lastly, he congratulated the PSA for the success in the celebration of the NSM.
On behalf of OIC City Planning and Development Office-Davao City Mr. Ivan Cortez, Ms. Loraida Fabro, Economist from the CPDO-Davao City delivered a message. She stressed the worth of data in the Local Government Units, particularly in the planning and development sector and the implementation of programs and projects for the local government. She likewise congratulated the PSA for the meaningful NSM celebration in the region.
After the giving of Messages, an awarding of certificate of appreciation to the resource persons was done, which was assisted by Chief Statistical Specialist Ms. Imelda A. Agustin from the PSA-Davao del Norte and PSA-Davao Occidental.
The ceremony was officially ended with an optimistic and encouraging Closing Remarks rendered by CSS Pepito D. Amoyen. The program master of ceremony was SS II Maria Josephine F. Andalaes
