The Philippine Statistics Authority Regional Statistical Services Office XI (RSSO XI) is the main implementing agency for Birth Registration Assistance Project (PBRAP) in Davao City which aims to increase civil registration in marginalized communities, particularly those belonging to the Indigenous Peoples (IP), Muslim Filipinos, and the poorest sector pursuant to the Memorandum Circular 2022-15.

In line with this, a stakeholder’s forum was initiated by the PSA RSSO XI on 28 May 2024 and was attended by different government and non-government agencies who will be a great key factor in the strengthening of birth registration in the City of Davao. Among the attendees were the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA RSSO XI), City Civil Registrar’s Office (CCRO), City Social and Welfare Development Office (CSWDO), National Commissions on Indigenous People (NCIP), Philippine National Police (PNP), City Mayors Office (CMO), League of Barangay Captains, Deputy Mayors of Tribal Community, and IDEALS (Non-government Organization).

The activity was a success and served as an opportunity for stakeholders to engage in meaningful discussions, exchange insights, and explore innovative solutions to address pertinent challenges and opportunities in the strengthening of the Birth Registration Project in Davao City.
