The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Region XI emphasizes the importance of updating registered persons' information as mandated by Section 11 of Republic Act No. 11055. Registered persons are required to correct or modify any changes in the demographic details on their National ID, including name, marital status, sex, date of birth, place of birth, address, and blood type.

The updating service began rolling out at PSA registration centers in Davao City on 05 December 2023. As of 28 October 2024, a total of 4,874 individuals in the region have successfully updated their National ID information.

Registered persons wishing to update their information must visit the nearest PSA-based registration center in person. They should bring their National ID in any of the formats and any necessary supporting documents such as birth certificate, marriage certificate, and/or other relevant documents. This process ensures that registered persons' records are accurate and up to date.

The PSA encourages all registered persons to take advantage of this service to maintain the accuracy of their National ID information, thereby contributing to a more reliable and efficient identification system for all Filipinos.
