The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Region XI is thrilled to announce a significant achievement in the ongoing implementation of the National ID system. As of 30 June 2024, 4,519,652 individuals have registered, representing 97% of the target of 4.66 million registrations. This highlights PSA’s unwavering commitment to establishing a secure and comprehensive identification system for all Filipinos.
The National ID system is designed to minimize the risks of identity fraud and enhance security and convenience for registered persons across the nation. To date, over 3,019,926 National ID cards have been delivered, with an additional 2,030,176 National IDs in paper form issued.

These achievements are the result of the hard work of dedicated Local Government Units, government and private organizations, and dedicated registration personnel. The PSA encourages all Filipinos to participate in the National ID system, which offers a wide range of benefits beyond mere identification. By registering, individuals gained enhanced access to government services, simplifying processes related to healthcare, social welfare programs, and educational support. Additionally, the National ID system promotes financial inclusion, allowing citizens to open bank accounts, access credit, and engage more easily in the formal economy.
This initiative represents a significant step forward for the nation, providing tangible benefits to citizens and contributing to a stronger, more inclusive future for all.
