The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) is set to conduct the 2025 National Migration Survey (NMS) from 04 August to 05 September 2025.
The NMS is one of the designated statistical activities per PSA Board Resolution No. 16, Series of 2024, Approving and Adopting the Updated List of Designated Statistical Activities. It is the second nationwide survey on migration, following the initial survey conducted in 2018 by the University of the Philippines Population Institute.
The 2025 NMS is designed to provide information on the mobility of the Philippine population in order to assist policymakers and program managers in designing and evaluating strategies for improving services and assistance to Filipinos going abroad or within the country. Specifically, the 2025 NMS is intended to provide information on international and internal migration flows and major migration streams, types of migration, and characteristics of migrants.
Across Davao Region, around 2,732 sample households will be interviewed by 30 trained Statistical Researchers (SRs) and Team Supervisors (TSs) distributed among the five provinces and one highly urbanized city (HUC).
In line with this activity, PSA Davao Region encourages all Davaoeños, especially sample households, to support and cooprate in the conduct of the 2025 NMS. The active participation of household respondents in providing truthful, complete, and accurate information to the interviewers is vital to the success of this undertaking. Rest assured that all individual data provided by respondents shall be kept strictly confidential in accordance with Section 26 of Republic Act 10625.
